Residents witnessed giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7cm in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that various areas across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
