Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Views After Voicing Controversial Coronavirus Film

The "Taken" star has lent his narration to a recent film that casts doubt on the safety of vaccinations and commends former government figure Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Provocative Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book published by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was a result of a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial radio host Alex Jones. The producer took to social media hailing Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for Neeson have issued a comment pushing back against implications that he holds anti-immunization beliefs.

"Many acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the drug industry, but that should never be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement states. "He never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His long work with the UN children's agency highlights his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

The statement added that the actor had no hand in the film's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the filmmakers.

Key Claims Featured in the Documentary

As presented, the narration read by Neeson features several provocative claims:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "medical science has become dangerously politicized."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."

Past Background and Ongoing Disputes

It includes a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a formal apology by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, the political figure directed the CDC to change its longstanding position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This claim is also referenced in the film, even with a new report from the World Health Organisation confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Statement of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's message, Neeson has in the past shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," stating that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The film finishes with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our narrative. It is the start of a fresh chapter."
