The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and the artist driving a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.
