Iran Reports Attack on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the American officials has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - said they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck areas linked to the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and shot down a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported debris fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
