Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor now faces charges for performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
Breakdown of Offences
Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
