Disaster Occurs as Accidental Detonation at Law Enforcement Facility in Indian-administered Kashmir Takes Nine Lives
A devastating blast at a police station in the Kashmir region under Indian control has caused the loss of nine individuals and harm to thirty-two others, according to authority reports.
The event occurred when a stockpile of seized explosive materials inadvertently exploded during management operations.

The blast occurred on the evening of Friday at the Nowgam security post, where detonation agents taken from Faridabad region in the northern province of Haryana were being stored temporarily.
Regional police chief stated that the detonation substances were pending technical investigation when a "extremely tragic" mishap during processing resulted in their detonation at approximately 11:20 PM local.

Numerous cars were "covered in blaze and turned into burned shells, with wreckage spread across the location," according to official reports.
"The force of the blast was so extreme that some physical fragments were recovered from adjacent homes, approximately 100-200 meters distant the law enforcement facility," stated an official source.
The bulk of the victims were police officers, along with scientific examination staff, two investigative imaging experts, and a clothing professional who was accompanying the group.
