The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Bills proving the 'any given Sunday' mantra that attracts so many fans into the National Football League
This outcome could have created opportunities for the New England Patriots to creep back into a top spot they used to occupy, with a schedule that gives them an advantage over their eight and two competitors
Over in the National Football Conference the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash next week, while our top performer is chasing records as well as the Most Valuable Player award
Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?
Was it just an emotional letdown from beating the Chiefs the previous week or something more? That's the question for the Buffalo team to address
The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against the Dolphins but were second best from the beginning as the Dolphins ran out 30-13 victors in an eye-opening result - and performance
MVP quarterback Josh Allen only achieved the team's opening first down in the third quarter and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare but it was still a massive egg produced by one of the NFL's best offenses
Dolphins quarterback Tua passed for two touchdowns but running back Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 combined yards and two touchdowns
Bottling up the NFL's top rushing attack was crucial too, with Cook and company registering just 86 yards, their fewest of the season and slightly more than fifty percent their 161.5-yard average
Then there were the three critical ball losses, and the pair from Josh Allen specifically. An interception in the end zone meaning a nine-minute drive produced nothing, and his fourth-quarter fumble that Miami converted to a touchdown just two plays
It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defense and Josh Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - not the calm, controlled, balanced Bills we've witnessed this season
Miami have served up a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the start of a trend, but for the Bills they'll require an instant response in a tough game against Tampa Bay next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East
Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place
Speaking of the Patriots, they're one of three different eight and two squads in the NFL, all AFC sides, but are they the best?
You can find flaws in New England, the Broncos and the Colts really for feasting on the weaker opponents, with just five of their total twenty-four victories coming against opponents with a positive record - and one of those was the Colts beating the Broncos
Denver beat the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are kings of the final quarter while Indy can ride Jonathan Taylor, but the New England adding Sunday's victory in Tampa to their primtime win in Buffalo seems like a declaration
Their pair of losses occurred in new head coach Mike Vrabel's initial three contests, with seven consecutive wins, similar to the Broncos, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to get ready was significant
Drake Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials continue to be discussed, and he definitely deserves point for courage after taking some hard tackles in Tampa but persevering to steer his team to success
The defensive unit is solid and rookie running back Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of fifty-five and sixty-nine yards - establishing himself as just the fifth different ball carrier to exceed 22mph this season on his initial touchdown
While you can argue who 'the top team' is statistically, the Pats should be favourites to finish with the top record due to their remaining opponents - which includes just a single matchup against a successful opponent, albeit a huge one against Buffalo
Visiting the Ravens is also tough, but the Broncos have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Los Angeles Chargers (who could also challenge for first place but encounter the same problem) and also the Green Bay on the fixture list
The Colts also play the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, San Francisco and two matchups with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There's a long way to go but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference
Coming Up - Los Angeles and Seattle Prepare for Week 11 Showdown
Two teams with strong arguments to be better than all of the three 8-2 teams are National Football Conference West opponents the Seahawks and Rams, who each put up 40 burgers to go to 7-2 ahead of the upcoming major game between the two in Los Angeles
Both have won four in a row, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold performing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on Sunday) with top receivers, and defenses giving up fewer than twenty points a game
Both could realistically be undefeated as well - particularly the Los Angeles as their two defeats occurred in extra time against the 49ers and then that painful defeat in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play deflected and run back by the Eagles for a score
The Seahawks also lost to San Francisco, with a last-minute score in week one, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the top teams in the league
The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the season so far
Player of the Week - Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor might be on for a record season after his remarkable performance in Germany - running for 244 rushing yards, registering three scores and adding an additional forty-two {receiving yards
